Description

Lifted a few restrictions;
-you may have as many common or uncommon features as you want now
-no restrictions on how many you want or want to make others!
-showing me the design is no longer necessary, only if you're unsure!
-you can have up to two rare traits per design if you'd like

really the only remaining rules are you can't sell them once made (only trade) and no restricted features that are listed

just have fun with it!

>>>>    SYNAX TRAIT MASTERPOST    <<<<
you're always welcome to ask any question you may have about the species, but make sure to read this and the description first! ;D
if there isn't a trait listed on either the masterlist or the ref itself, feel free to ask me!!

SYNAX (singular: synaxid) are a fluffy, nocturnal, mammal-like reptile species.
Using their tongue as their primary means of "sight" by detecting light and heat, they live deep in the dark recesses of caves, out of the exposure of sunlight. As a result, eyes are vestigial and have been evolved out of their physiology, though they found rarely as a recessive mutation.

Wild synax emerge during the night to hunt prey outside of the cave, but are extremely sensitive to the sun and quickly retreat from any light, as it overwhelms their senses. Their size is about that of a grey wolf and make formidable predators if they detect larger prey. They are very intelligent and, what they may lack in strength and offensive features, they still have a very powerful bite and have been known to lure prey to death, rather than kill it, and scavenge the remains. They are strictly carnivorous and more alert and adapted to live in the wild than their home-grown cousins. Long exposure to sunlight will harm them.

Domestic synax have been bred over time to be companions and, as a result, have built a tolerance to the sunlight and have brighter, more colorful coats. Their sleep cycle still reflects their nocturnal nature and is likened to that of a cat - long and frequent naps throughout the day, being most active at the night. Nimble and intelligent, if a bit sleepy, they're a fantastic companion and friend. Unlike their wild cousins, they are omnivorous, but still a carnivore at heart, so greens should be limited. They have adapted some tolerance to sunlight and the daytime schedule, but still are most active in evening hours, so be prepared to account for that.

Some things to note:
- Their face is NOT a mask, it is flesh just like the rest of the creature.
- Their feet are dark compared to their body.
- Mammalian ears and eyes would be non-functional, and are purely aesthetic.
- Face features can vary and you can have as many as you want, but would count as a single uncommon feature.
- Body type can vary! they can be tiny and fox-like or have big tubby st bernard build

Rules
- if you're skeptical on your design, you can show me so I may approve of it, then they're all yours!
- otherwise, have fun!
- you may NOT sell any design, but you may trade them if you notify me first.
- no restrictions on how many you may have!

Have fun!!
